VEGAN HUMMUS IN 5 MINS

TOOLS:

  • blender

  • rubber spatula

  • knife to cut / peel garlic (although, i do throw my garlic cloves in the blender whole!)

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 can of garbanzo's

  • 2-3 cloves of raw garlic

  • 1/4 cup olive oil

  • 1/4 cup water

  • juice of half a lemon or your citrus of choice

  • salt + pepper to taste (...I used Saratoga Springs Olive Oil Company's "Garlic Medly" Sea Salt)

STEPS:

  • Throw everything in a blender + pulse to start

  • Continue to blend for up to a minute--or until you reach your desired texture.

  • (i should note, that i use READY TO EAT garbanzo beans in this recipe. i honestly grab whatever is organic + on sale, but i am VERY happy with this can of Westbrae Natural.)

  • Enjoy with anything you want -- veggies, pasta, crackers, get creative!
